I'm just really proud of myself for cramming over 150 books (no exaggeration this time) into a list of ten, but omg how is anyone supposed to narrow the list of books they love done to ten???? I know this is supposed to be about writing specifically, but I think I've made it pretty clear that even in my novels, I have a very limited view of ways to say sorry. 😅 (Don't worry, the bear was fine.) I knew this one was coming up so, in retrospect, I wish I'd paid better attention to my 3AM thoughts recently, but these are all things that have kept me up at night. I decided to go with Imogen for today's challenge. She's the MC from the first romance I wrote years ago, but I'm just now publishing it over on #kindlevella (as C. B. Alice). In Girlfriend By The Hour, Imogen is fresh out of grad school and interviewing for a job as a junior marketing analyst for a major video game developer . . . and accidentally gets hired as the CEO's fake girlfriend 😉 This is crazy, but I actually don't write that many antagonists. I always have a conflict, of course, but a lot of it is either internal, environmental, or something vague like a government that is biased against the MC. Gah! I am a day behind. But that's okay, bc there's a few coming up that I'm not sure I have answers for, so I'm just going to casually pretend I'm not skipping them. I mean, we all know what I write. But I did used to write other stuff. #TenThingsChallenge Day 3: Songs your MC knows by heart. A weird one for me bc music doesn't play a big role in most of my books, but I realized my Jubilee triplets would have had a particularly strange musical upbringing bc of their parents. Probably a strange blend of hippie stuff with a smattering of oddballs along the way.
